Characteristics of the Magaluf

The Magaluf athletics track has turned Calvia into a landmark sports destination for European athletes who wish to train, carry out pre-season stages, training camps, etc. from the month of October all the way through to the month of May.
The facility offers first class equipment for all athletic disciplines. Certified by the RFEA (Real Federación Española de Atletismo – Royal Spanish Athletics Federation), in 2019 a surface change was carried out on the 400m. oval in order to offer athletes the best possible surface for today’s athletic practice.
Main characteristics of the track
Outdoor zone and interior module
The facility has an outdoor training area with a running track, a cross country training field, different slopes, etc. In the indoor training area, you can enjoy the indoor field (100 m) and the gym.
Fully equipped
The facility has all necessary equipment (javelins, fences, cones, etc.) to enable training in the different athletic disciplines.
One of the best infrastructures of its kind in Europe, it offers all services
400m. track, winding down zone, long jump pit, throwing area, cross country circuit, indoor grass field, gym, straight fast running track in the indoor module, conference room, changing rooms, stands, etc.

ATHLETICS
Track
400 metre track with 8 lanes. Since March 2019, it has a new 13mm. synthetic surface and the relay area is highlighted with distinctive marking. The track is completed with an external astroturf perimeter circuit of 500m., ideal for warming up and winding down.
In addition, the track incorporates a stand with seating capacity for 990 people.
NATURAL ASTROTURF FIELD
This area is used for throwing practice and also as a space for winding down and stretching, etc.
INDOOR TRAINING TRACK
The interior module of the installations has, among other facilities, the following:
Indoor straight running track
60m. straight running track, with 8 lanes and synthetic flooring: ideal for carrying out speed exercises, warm-ups, running technique exercises, long jump, etc.
Gymnasium:
Area with machines and other equipment to complement the work on the track.
EXTERNAL CROSS CIRCUIT
The facility has a 1km. cross country circuit, ideal for warm-ups, sequences, pace changes, etc. In addition, the area has two ramps with synthetic flooring and different gradients for those who want to work on ascending and descending.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING
Fully equipped installation with all the necessary equipment for the practice of sport: reception, bathrooms, changing rooms, bar area, conference room, video finish room, storage facilities, etc.
