Cala Falcó
Cala Falcó – a Mallorcan cove close to the Cala Vinyes urbanisation, just over 5 km from Magaluf.
This u-shaped sea inlet between the “Sa Bella Dona” beach and “Cap des Falcó” ending in a closed cove of sand and seaweed. It is flanked by medium-height rocky cliffs. Pine groves and mountains surround this beautiful place and their branches reach all the way to the water’s edge, to the sea which is irresistible for swimming in, leaving only space at the front to lie in the sun.
The local bathers are its regular users and highly value this beach for its tranquility, good atmosphere and the short distance to travel from Magaluf or Palma.
The marine and underwater conditions of this quiet beach, exposed to the south wind, are optimal for the anchoring of boats in front of this slope or next to “Cap des Falcó.” This coastline has a seabed of sand and algae, at a depth that varies from four metres at a distance of one and a half hectometres from the pavement, to three metres at a distance of one hectometre from the coast. The Palmanova marina is located one nautical mile away, and a little further away is the Port Adriano marina.
Access by road is easy following the road signs to “Cap des Falcó,” passing through Cala Vinyes. From here you can reach the beach by way of some steep steps, avoiding a 250 metre slope.
